Le Moulin Scalagrand offers four freshly renovated and beautifully decorated rooms. Your host, Frederique, has personally worked on them with an admirable DIY approach and great attention to detail. Both rustic and modern touch offers an inspiring and pleasant atmosphere to be immersed in.
All rooms are provided with bed linen and towels; as well as homemade soaps and shampoo. Guests are kindly asked to make use of these homemade products since they are meant to reduce the pollution of the sewer and protect its bacterial balance.
Included in the reservation of any room there is a healthy and delicious breakfast, consisting of a variety of organic and local products. You may as well taste some homegrown fruit and vegetables, homemade marmalade, and much more. Breakfast is served in the beautiful common kitchen, or alternatively outside in the garden or on the riverside under the wooden porch.
Each room is named after birds inhabiting the surroundings of the mill, and one may recognize them by the paintings on the door of each room. Chances are that one may also encounter them outside.

The shared open-air space offers a large covered terrace with a dining table and a cozy sitting area, where we also serve an extensive breakfast. There are many sitting areas around the mill, in the Butterfly garden and near the river shore. In the middle of our food forest, there is a large natural swimming pond for leisure. The vegetable garden and food forest are always open for our guests to harvest fresh fruit and vegetables.
There are different philosophical benches scattered around the premise, for moments of rest and contemplation, the riverside offers plenty of grassy patches for yoga practices and recreational activities.

The mill is situated 2 km from the medieval village of Villereal, where there is a market every Saturday and Wednesday and the local food market on Monday evening. The region is known for its beautiful cycling and walking routes, castles and bastides.
